London Fog Latte
London Fog Latte
Ingredients
1 bag earl grey tea (I use Choice Organic Teas)
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup milk of choice (I like unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1 scoop Vital Proteins unflavored collagen
1 tsp coconut sugar, honey, or sweetener of choice (or more if you prefer it sweeter)
Directions
Boil water and steep 1 bag of earl grey tea for 4-6 minutes (follow instructions on packaging)
While the tea is steeping, combine milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and coconut sugar in a small sauce pan and heat on medium low until lightly simmering
When the tea is ready, remove the teabag and pour tea, milk mixture, and collagen to blender
Blend on medium for 30 seconds until frothy
Pour in to glass, sprinkle with cinnamon (optional) and enjoy
This recipe was inspired by A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro.
This YA tale follows the budding friendship between the great-great-great grandchildren of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
Jamie Watson and Charlotte Homes both find themselves across the Pacific at a boarding school on the East Coast. The story begins after a classmate is murdered in his dorm room under suspicious circumstances that mirror a case Sherlock and Watson solved out of 221 B Baker Street, making Charlotte and Jamie prime suspects.
Overall I’d give this one 3/5 stars (check out this blog post to see how I determine my ratings).
I enjoyed it, it was an easy and fun read. There was something about the writing style that I found it difficult to fall into the groove. That said, I enjoyed it.
